HBB are inspired by the New Orleans brass band tradition, but mix respect for jazz history with a sensibility toward the future. Like the music’s originators, the Heavyweights gladly incorporate influences from pop hits of the day, original compositions, R&B and funk throwbacks, and the infectious rhythms of Latin America, all woven together with the thread of adventure and inspiration. A perfectly festive addition to both the ‘Friday Night Street Music Party’ and ‘GJF in the Parks.’
