A musician of remarkable warmth and feeling, Eric Chenaux combines idiosyncratically rich songwriting with some of the most inventive guitar-playing anywhere. Though based for some time in France, Chenaux has long associations with the fields of experimental and creative music in Toronto, where he co-founded the hugely influential Rat-drifting record label, releasing rafts of original music including that to which he contributed by the Reveries, the Draperies, Drumheller, The Allison Cameron Band, and more. Chenaux has a fifteen-year relationship with Montreal’s Constellation Records, and his most recent of nine offerings on the label, Say Laura, explores long, formally meandering songcraft and features his typically poignant singing of heart-thick lyrics. And throughout the guitar surprises and surprises and surprises…
