Sarah Pagé (QC)

Montreal harpist Sarah Pagé is a lynchpin of the cross-sections of popular and experimental music for which that city’s music scenes are internationally renowned. Following an already distinguished career contributing to the sound of many of Montreal’s notable musical exports –– the Barr Brothers and Lhasa de Sela, for instance –– Pagé released the solo Dose Curves in 2019. It is a brilliant meditation on the range and depth of her remarkable instrument and its history, at once gorgeously melodic and richly inventive and daring. It evokes a vital, unique musical personality in Pagé, a quintessential collaborator and side-person who rightly deserves her place in the spotlight.

Saturday 17 September, 10:30am, Royal City Mission, double-bill with Nicole Rampersaud, $20/$15 [buy tickets]
